Piotr, an economics graduate, joined Celignis in 2021 as a business administration intern. Very rapidly it was noticed that he had a huge talent in working with large sets of data. As a result he was swiftly recruited to an important
new role within the company, Orders and Data Manager, taking over that responsibility from company founder Dan Hayes. By havin this talented individual fully dedicated to the processing and critical evaluation
of data, were are able to massively increase our throughput and speed at which we can process orders.
He takes particular interest and involvement in the processing and evaluation of data from Celignis's chromatography department. His expertise in this area covers a wide range of analytes (e.g. carbohydrates, amino acids, vitamins, pigments etc.) as
wee as numerous types of chromatography (e.g. GC, IC, HPLC, SEC) and detection methods (e.g. electrochemical, conductivity, UV, TCD etc.).
Prior to his experience at Celignis Piotr used to work as an accountant. He is a graduate from the University of Rzeszow in Poland with Master’s degree in Economics. He has found that the skillsets learnt in these prior
activities are also highly relevant for his work at Celignis, where meticulous inspection of data is necessary and trends across different types of feedstocks and technologies need to be understood.
Piotr is an eager to learn, highly ambitious person that will plat a cruicial role in the further advancement of Celignis.
Expertise and Track-Record
Quality Control
Piotr has experience working with quality control of thousands of samples that go through different stage of analysis. His work also includes making sure that chromatography data are accurate and stable.
He communicates with various departments witin Celignis to discuss the quality of data produced. He has a keen eye for detail and accuracy and understands the significant role of accurate data in bioeconomy field and
how it helps to advance improvements in the development of biobased technologies and materials.
Data Processing
Piotr plays a major role in data processing at Celignis. There are a wide variety of analytical methods that are employed in the Celignis laboratories.
These produce huge amounts of data which he collects and prepares for analysis. He evaluates the data and makes sure that it is vaid and presented in a user-friendly format.
He discusses results with other members of the company then approves and uploads data for customers.
Orders Management
Piotr keeps track of all orders that requires analytical work and ensures that this work is assigned to the appropriate staff member, with scheduling sequencing optimised between different personnel in order
